Answers to frequently asked questions:

  1. Our high tunnels were the plastic covered structures you saw near the strawberry patch. These tunnels are not greenhouses, because they don't have any supplemental heat. They are 100% powered by the sun and simply trap daytime heating to extend the growing season. We're growing tomatoes inside the high tunnels currently.
  2. The field next to the strawberry patch will be our U-Pick sunflower patch. The sunflowers were planted recently and will be blooming in late June through July.  We will also have 1-acre field of zinnia flowers this summer near our blueberries.
  3.  U-Pick strawberry season will continue through early June. U-Pick Blueberries, Sunflowers and Zinnias will begin in Mid-June. U-Pick Peaches are in August and U-Pick Apples and Pumpkins in Sept/Oct.  Lots of U-Pick opportunities ahead this season!  Stay tuned for updates on Facebook and our website.
  4. You may find a few white fibers within your strawberries. Don't be alarmed, these come from the fiber covers that we use to protect strawberries from freeze/frost conditions. See images below:
