Strawberry picking works differently on the festival day.  Anyone picking strawberries will need to catch the tractor and wagon ride to the large strawberry field on the festival day.  Note: There is no walking to and from the strawberry field.  The tractor and wagon is the only way to get to and from the strawberry field on the festival day.

Please note! Our U-Pick strawberry patch is OPEN through the entire strawberry harvest season (Weekdays and Saturdays), not just on the festival day.  Weekdays are some of the best days to pick when it’s less crowded.

Pre-Picked Fifer Strawberries
We will also have plenty of pre-picked strawberries for those who don’t want to head out to the strawberry patch.  We will offer special bulk discount pricing on pre-picked Fifer strawberries by the flat during the Strawberry Food Festival.

Fresh Spring Fruits & Vegetables
Fifer’s Country Store is stocked with asparagus, scallions, spinach, radishes, spring lettuce, strawberry pies, strawberry rolls, strawberry slushies, our famous apple cider doughnuts, jams, local honey, unique specialty foods, and of course freshly-picked strawberries.

Please look for directions from our parking attendants when you arrive. Please follow all detour signs. The normal store parking lot will be closed for the day to accommodate the festival activities. Parking will be in the large field lots. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring wagons or strollers for small children. Thank you for your patience when arriving and departing.

Restrooms & Baby Changing Station
Clean portable restrooms will be available at our event.
Our friends at P&G of Dover may offer complimentary Pampers & Luvs diaper/wipes products to parents during the festival. P&G provides a safe, clean area to change their children. Coupons & samples will be also be distributed, when available.

Non-Smoking Campus

Pets Prohibited For Food Safety

Important Notes & Tips:

  • Comfortable, closed toed shoes are recommended on the farm. You will experience significant walking and some activities require stable footwear.
  • We highly recommend bringing your own wagon or stroller for easy transport to your vehicles.
  • Most areas are stroller friendly. We are a working farm with some unpaved, uneven walking surfaces, however.  You may experience dust or mud.
  • Sunscreen is recommended. Spring sun can be powerful and cause sunburn quickly.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
