Fifer Drive Thru Strawberry Patch

We're bummed that we can't offer our "traditional" U-Pick strawberry experience this year, but hope that you were still able to enjoy some of the scenery of our farm on your driving tour.

Answers to frequently asked questions from your driving tour:

  1. The trees on your right when you first arrived are peach trees that are about 15 years old.
  2. The high tunnels were the plastic covered structures you saw. These tunnels are not greenhouses, because they don't have any supplemental heat. They are 100% powered by the sun and simply trap daytime heating to extend the growing season. We're growing tomatoes inside the high tunnels currently.
  3. The field next to the strawberry patch will be our sunflowers. The sunflowers were planted recently and will be blooming in late June through July.
  4. The trees you drove by near the payment tent are apple trees. Any other questions can be emailed to [email protected].

Heads up:
You may find a few white fibers within your strawberries. Don't be alarmed, these come from the fiber covers that we use to protect strawberries from freeze/frost conditions.
