AsparagusRecipes - Marinated Asparagus

MARINATED ASPARAGUS

1½ lbs. fresh asparagus
4 t. soy sauce
1 t. sugar
2 t. sesame oil (or salad oil)

Wash asparagus and break off tough ends. Slice in 1-inch lengths diagonally. Parboil 1 minute in 2 qts. rapidly boiling water. Drain, rinse in cold water, and pat dry. Toss with sauce and chill 2 hours or more.
