- Sesame Shrimp & Asparagus
SESAME SHRIMP & ASPARAGUS
1½ lbs Fresh Asparagus
2 small onions, sliced
1½ lbs shrimp, shelled and deveined
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1/3 C. vegetable oil
4 tsp. soy sauce
1¼ tsp. salt
Diagonally cut asparagus into 2" pieces. Also prepare onions and shrimp. In wok (or 10-12" skillet) toast sesame seeds over medium heat until golden, stirring and shaking pan occasionally. Remove and set aside. Heat oil in same pan to medium high heat. Cook asparagus, onions, and shrimp until shrimp are pink and vegetables are tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Stir in sesame seed, soy sauce and salt until just mixed. Serve with white rice or oriental noodles.
