Recipes - Baked Pork Chops & Apples

BAKED PORK CHOPS & APPLES

2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
¾ tsp. salt
6 Pork Chops
1/8 tsp. pepper
½ C. chopped fresh onion
¾ C. Apple Juice or Cider
½ tsp. dried leaf rosemary
3 Apples, cored and sliced cross-wise

In large skillet, melt butter. Add pork chops, 3 at a time, and brown well on both sides. Remove chops from skillet. Add onion, rosemary, salt, & pepper.

Cook 5 minutes, until onion is tender. Stir in apple juice. Arrange pork chops & apple slices in a shallow baking dish. Add onion mixture, cover, & bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, until pork chops are tender. Yields 6 servings.
